Hi, I am Dr. Mark Studin, and today with ChiroSecure we’re going to bring you some unbelievable information about the chiropractic profession. When I was in chiropractic college in the 1970s. Long time ago, there was no research for what we did. I was really scanned and on my bucket list was to use through scientific validation prove chiropractic works.

Now I want to show that it works for systemic diseases. We’re awfully close. I’ve said this before. I have the ability, the tools, but I’m not quite there. I still a statistician short. With that being said, there’s a lot of evidence out there and a lot of pro chiropractic evidence. So in my endeavor or in my, my, my lust, and that’s what it is, I’m like a star of a man after a t-bone steak.
I didn’t make that up, but I want the evidence. It’s great to see chiropractic work, shout from the mountaintop. It works. It works. But if we’re the only one saying it, you know where it gets you. 7% utilization. We’ve cycled between seven and 10% throughout my entire 44 year career. How come? Medicine sees 99% of the patients and we see a whole lot less, and I can’t believe I left my phone over there.

It’s ringing. Just let it ring and ignore it. I apologize. So how come? When you turn on the television, you’re saturated. The research shows that 86% of people respond to this drug. 79% of people respond to this drug, which is crazy. Okay. Because it doesn’t tell you the whole story. Now they have to go through the whole litany.
But what do you hear about chiropractic? You don’t. You go to an office and the doctor says, we can help you. It’s great. Or a friend says, we can help you. It’s great. So we haven’t been able to utilize those tools. I. That research affords in mass media and we’ve been led by politics, the A CA, the ICA, your state organizations where actually academic institutions and research should drive healthcare in this country as it has for decades, which is why our life cycles getting longer.
Cancer is a being a wrap. My wife had cancer three times. The last one was 13 years ago. She’s great. Without medical advances, she’d be dead without the science, which leads. Without chiropractic, people would suffer. So let’s go to the, let’s go to the webpage and just show you some place that you can get great research.
So what I did was 13 years ago, I created this page called the US Chiropractic Directory. Initially it was to create a portal. I’m on the wrong page. Here we go. Or originally it was to create a portal to find a chiropractic knee or directory, but then I threw some research articles in there. All of a sudden, the hit counter, which you could see here, this is the most frequented site in the chiropractic profession, anywhere in the entire globe there.
There’s no one that has a more visited site than this, and I’m very proud of it. And I’m proud of it because it’s free to anyone who wants to get pro chiropractic research. It’s free. It costs me a tremendous amount of money to do this. I don’t care. This is my donation to the profession. We’ve had almost 24 million people visit this site, getting pro chiropractic literature.
I have a correlation of, and I consult on the side and I have a counter of how many new patients have gone to my client’s sites. And right now that number is, lemme just pull the number up so I can give you an actual number. I don’t like to be inflammatory. The number is 2,131,478 referrals.
Is it because of this research? Yes and no. There is no one single factor for success in practice. It’s multifactorial, but having the evidence at your fingertips, and my cousin Mitchell, who’s an internist oncologist. Smart smart, Cornell graduate. Really smart guy. When I talked to him decades ago about chiropractic and he says where’s the evidence?
Show me the evidence. Show me the, there wasn’t any, we had nothing for years. And then when his son was born with a Hemi Vertica and had a a 26 degree curve in his spine, he said, show me the evidence. And we finally had a little bit there. He didn’t believe it. He brought his son to one of the fancy teaching hospitals in New York City.
They braced him and 24 degrees went to 36 degrees. And then I finally, he read the evidence and because of the evidence, he brought it to chiropractic and his curve went down to 12 degrees. And because of the heavy vertebrae, that’s where he’s gonna stay for the rest of his life. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
But when we look at the evidence of the literature, I published this last week, and what does it say? Pharmacological treatment of low back pain, increased overdose related hospitalizations by 300% compared to chiropractic or non-pharmacological treatment. We just posted this and everything. You see all the references in here?
Reference reference. Here’s my reference pages, they’re all here. Everything. Nothing that I put in here is my opinion, and I’ve got a lot of opinions, and if you’ve watched me on these pages, you’ll understand that, but nothing is my opinion. By the way, in a week, we’ve had 455 people read it.
This was out a week and a half ago. Chiropractic outperforms. Chiropractic outperforms and patient satisfaction have persistently outperformed medicine chiropractic outcomes, I’m sorry, and patient satisfaction have persistently outperformed medicine and physical therapy. And then we have all the evidence and the literature in here.
So here’s one. Just simple. Roki in 2023. This is an article written by PTs reported that opioid use increases in 89.9. 90% of the patients with physical therapy and spinal injections also increase by 50%, 53%. So PT increases opioid use by 90%. Spinal injections by 2%. And medical specialty care, which are surgeons by 50% of two or more modalities are used, which means exercise, heat, stem, mobilization, pick any two.
No PT ever does one. Conversely, Whedon reported in 2020 that opioid use decreased by 55% with chiropractic care and opioid related cost decreased by 74% with chiropractic care. Naan reported in 2020 with a cohort that’s the number of people in the study of 8,023,162 people was a four year study that 96% of patients got better.
Conversely, in 2022, these researchers reported that 99.1% of acute patients in medical offices reported in the New England Journal of Medicine. Have non-specific back pain, meaning they don’t know where it’s from. They’ll fracture, no tumor infection or herniation. They’re clueless. They have no idea where it’s from.
None, zero. So they call it non-specific and treat ’em with drugs, hence forth your opioid use. But chiropractic helps. 96% of the people reduces opioid use and it goes on and on. That’s just this one article. Now, if you go to the next article. Here you go. By the way, look how many people this is about a month ago.
83,000 people read this one. Medical and physical therapy management of chronic low back pain continues to fail and bypass chiropractic despite significant outcomes. And here’s your citation, by the way. We have citations for everything. Okay. So this just goes on and has some of the similar information.
It’s got just. Research and here are your citations. It’s all here for you at your fingertips, us cairo directory.com. The next one is I actually I became a professor in medical school in the state University of New York of Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the Department of Family Medicine so I can have access to NIH publications.
So we’ve gotten. Through the medical school. Gosh I don’t even 57 articles published in the NIH Pro Chiropractic their case reports per chiropractic. The next one here you go. Chiropractic spinal adjustments, increased muscle function in chronic stroke patients by 64%. And here’s your article.
Here’s all your evidence. Here’s the references. They’re all here. Everything is here. Your fingertips. I could go on and on. This is biomechanical pathology, which is vertebral subluxation and or a direct solution to increase utilization chiropractic. Explain part one. How does chiropractic work?
Talking about biomechanical lesions. Here’s part one and the reference behind that. Here’s part two, the neurophysiology of a chiropractic spinal. Manipul neurophysiology is spinal manipulation, which PTs do versus chiropractic. Spinal adjustments. Spinal adjustment through chiropractic realizes 64.2% better outcome than spinal manipulations.
And here’s all the evidence and here’s your references. It’s all here for you When you sit with a surgeon or a medical provider, oh, I sit to pt. Do you know that chiropractic has a 64% better outcome? Show me the proof. Here’s the article, here’s the evidence. In the literature, all peer reviewed literature, if PT is the first provider opioid use goes up 80% in 90% of the patients.
Here’s the literature. If PTs the first provider, surgery goes up 50%. Here’s the literature. If chiropractic’s the first provider that disability goes down 313% compared to pt. I could go on and on here. Frequency protocols with initial chiropractic care. This is saying why you need to be adjusted.
Patient need to be adjusted more frequently. This is great for insurance companies. And here’s the evidence, here’s your references. Okay. And I did this with Dr. Tony Rado for 30 years. He was the clinic director at the University of Bridgeport School of Chiropractic. He’s since retired a few years ago.
Tony’s a dear friend, but he helped me write this article. Why More Frequent A adjust, adjusting in the beginning is critical to the person getting back necessary use of initial x-rays. Here’s a fact sheet again, Dr. Ron from Bridgeport. What they teach the a CH Choose Wisely program. Those people should all rotten hell for what they said.
It’s just terrible. The evidence and the literature does not support, what they’re saying and clinically it doesn’t support it. Addictionology back pain in chiropractic. I work with Paula Capla, he’s an addictionology specialist from Downstate University the State University of New York, explaining that, God, if we could just get to some of those non-specific back pain people and make it specific, which we all can do, it’s easy.
The research just goes on and on. There’s pages and pages and pages. It’s all here for you to take. I had another really cool one that I saw. It just goes on. There’s so much in here for you to use. My favorite is the mechanism of the chiropractic spinal adjustment. There’s another five part series.
This has been 16,000 people, 28,000 people, 48,000 people. 23,000,792 people have done it. Folks, in conclusion. Us chiro directory.com. You should live there. My next article I’m writing and research just came out that chiropractic adjustments increases alpha, beta delta and theta wavelengths in the brain, which has to do with mood concentration, sleep lowering depression.
Lowering anxiety and it’s all validated on SSEP studies, which is somatosensory evoke potential brain studies E-E-E-M-G studies. Fitbit, looking at Fitbit results, which monitor people around the clock and patient outcomes via statistics. Pain scales, et cetera, and functionality scales.
There’s so much, there’s just so much. I just showed you a sampling of what you could show. Insurance companies to get paid what you could show medical primaries to bypass PTs to use you medical specialists to bypass PTs to use you. It doesn’t matter lawyers to use you. There’s evidence in there about a herniated discs and there is, if you go to the there are something called medical legal.
There are white papers there, which are right over here. This explains a lot of this is low speed crash issues. Low speed accidents and minimal force. We had 36,000 people read that one. So there’s case reports. Look at this. NIH all published in the NIH, national Institutes of Health. There are so many here.
It’s just an ongoing volume of information for you to use. A lot of people in this industry and there are other folks, other malpractice companies that do have literature, but they gate it off and charge you, and I don’t even know if it’s peer reviewed literature they’re looking at or index peer reviewed or just their own peer review.
I don’t know the answer to that, but, and I’ve had a conversation with the owners, how could you gate keep it off of the fee? How could you make money off of that? To me, it’s unconscionable. It’s just unconscionable. We give it away for free. Yeah, it costs money. I don’t care. That’s my contribution to the profession.
So we’ve got 20, almost 24 million people that have gone there around the globe. It just, chiropractic works and I love chiropractic and I want to get paid and I want MDs to refer to me. I wanna work within their community. They see 99%, we see less. Musculoskeletal is the fifth most prevalent diagnosis in a primary care’s office.
I. You gotta convince these people and the only way to do this is not your rhetoric. I’m the best healer in the world. Doesn’t mean crap to them. Show me the evidence and you now have the ability to do that. Folks, listen. I’m Dr. Mark Studin and it’s my purpose in working with ChiroSecure, and it’s my purpose as a chiropractor and as a human being.
To help our society and they need you. You need to get these articles, take anyone and share it with anyone. It doesn’t cost anything. That’s your mission. Listen, I’m pushing 70 years old. I need other people in the next two, three generations to take these articles and push them. So again, let me say this once more.
It’s free, it doesn’t cost anything, and I look forward to bringing you more on the next episode. Thank you.
